J’aurais voulu chercher l’ombre et goûter le sel en rentrant. J’aurais voulu le linge qui claque au vent et la première baignade. J’aurais voulu marcher pieds nus et porter des robes à fleurs. J’aurais voulu les pique-niques et les siestes sur un lit de mousse. J’aurais voulu aller trop vite : ce n’était qu’avril.
J’ai écouté la pluie sur le toit de tuiles, regardé de minuscules rivières charrier les fleurs de l’acacia, je me suis endormie le matin ou en plein après-midi, j’ai laissé le vent me décoiffer pour toujours, j’ai vu la mer démontée et les mâts qui claquent à se rompre, des flamants roses en liberté et des mouettes soûles de tant d’oxygène, des touristes faire tous la même photo et un menhir caché à côté des tout petits avions blancs, j’ai lu la carte et me suis laissée conduire, tu as ri quand j’ai dit à droite départementale sept cent septante-neuf, j’ai marché dans la boue des chemins, eu un petit peu froid, rêvé d’étoiles mystérieuses, pleuré un peu au tout petit matin, tu as fait ta première pâte à tarte, j’y ai posé la rhubarbe, mes mains ont presque guéri, j’ai ralenti et tout était parfait.
